| Anna Paquin has been a New Zealand-Canadian TV and film actress for more than 20 years. Her credits include the PianoFly Away Homeand X-Men. It was not her intention to make it as an actress, however fate decided otherwise. Following the success of Jane Eyre, a variety of opportunities were presented to her. But she decided not to take them up to concentrate on her studying. Following a highly successful debut film aged 14 she was approached for roles in Jane Eyre as well as the Fly Away Homefilms series. In 2000, she portrayed the strong mutant Roguein the X-Men X-Men film series. Her role was a huge success and she became a global star. She reprised her role in the role of Roguein sequels like X2 and X-Men The Last Stand.She has also had small screen appearances notably as Elaine Goodalein Bury My Heart at Wounded Kneefor which she was awarded her first Emmynomination.
