Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox's parents are Dorothy Farquharson and Thomas Allison Lennox. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother and Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox had studied for three years in the Royal Academy of Music London in 1970s, was accepted. Her budget was supplemented with a student stipend and part-time work. Lennox as she was studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was not happy in her performance when in comparison to her classmates. She began considering different options. Lennox started her professional career in 1976 when she joined the band Dragons Playground. She left the band prior to the group's appearance on I.T.V.s talent contest New Faces. The main part of her role was the lead singer in The Tourists from 1977 until 1980. This is where she first got to know Dave Stewart with whom she would form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox was later able to release her first solo album Diva. This was released in the year 1992. It received lots of praise both from critics and the public. Nostalgia Lennoxs six-album solo was released in the month of October 2014. included Nostalgia Lennox. The C.D. includes a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera, a collection four piano improvisations, was released by Lennox in May of 2019. The E.P. is an accompanying piece to her art installation at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... It's also her debut independently-released album. Annie Lennox, born on December 25, 1954 in Scotland is a philanthropist and political activist. She also sings. The Tourists gained some minor recognition for her and Dave Stewart's work throughout the 1970s. The group went on during the 80s, to be the cult duo Eurythmics. In 1992, Lennox started her own solo career, releasing their debut record Diva with a variety of successful tracks, including Why and Walking on Broken Glass. Medusa is her album of studio work from 1995. It features cover versions of songs like No MoreI love Yous and The Whiter Shade of Pale. The singer is acknowledged with six studio albums solo as well as a compilation.
